Ready for liftoff?

  1. Choose a pilot slot. Use the same slot on the same browser each time. Slots have no passwords; avoid entering personal information.
  2. Find home row. Rest your left fingers on A S D F and right fingers on J K L ;. F and J have bumps. Use your thumbs for Space.
  3. Follow the highlight. Type each character, including spaces. Wrong keys stay in place so you can try again. You do not need Backspace.
  4. Be accurate, then get faster. Finish a mission at the accuracy goal to unlock the next. There is no time limit and you can retry as often as you like.
  5. Collect up to 3 stars. Passing earns one; at least 95% earns two; 99% earns three. Accuracy includes every incorrect printable key, even when corrected.

Use a physical English QWERTY keyboard for finger practice. On a tablet, an external keyboard works best. Press Escape to pause. Switching tabs pauses your mission too.

Teacher toolkit

Short, calm practice sessions for beginner and developing typists. Settings below apply to all five pilot slots on this browser.

Practice access does not mark missions complete. Settings are a classroom convenience, not password-protected controls. Previously earned unlocks remain available.

Take it to your classroom

Download one HTML file. Double-click it to open in a modern browser, even without internet. No installs, external fonts, tracking scripts, or student accounts.

A simple 10-minute routine

1 minute: posture and home row. 6 minutes: play a mission and retry. 2 minutes: revisit tricky keys. 1 minute: note accuracy and celebrate improvement.

Local progress can be cleared by private browsing, school device resets, or browser cleanup. Offline-file storage varies by browser; print results when you need a lasting record. There is no online teacher dashboard or cross-device sync.

Free to use, copy, modify, and distribute for classroom or website use. Keep the PROTECTCOVERS credit. Provided as-is. Version 1.0.

Taking a space break.
